A Feeling of Clean Like Never Before!

Smoky Mountain Lye Soap began back in - - - - well don't actually remember when. But soap making has been a tradition here in the mountains of Tennessee for decades. That is why we continue make our soap the traditional old fashioned way, just as our ancestors always have. There is nothing more enjoyable than stoking up a fire and settin the big pot up on the tripod over it. This along with the comradery of our family and friends makes for a great afternoon or evening. Yes that is the way do it. Just like our ancestors before us. We appreciate the heritage of the ways before us.

There really is not to tell about us other than we just enjoy making our soap and sharing it with folks. Hopefully others will see the value of what the simple life can provide. Take some time to stop and smell the roses so to speak. Here on our mountain we certainly enjoy what we do and hope ya'll will join our family of friends and soap users and see what life can be about.

Due to unfortunate circumstances beyond our control we have temporarily discontinued our Oatmeal Lye Soap.

High humidity and wet weather conditions in our area are not allowing us to produce the quality we desire at this time. As weather conditions change our goal is to begin producing the Oatmeal Soap as soon as possible once again. This only affects our Oatmeal Soap and not any of the others. Everything else is still available.
